📱Recommended Apps
Turns out I use a surprising number of Apple's native apps and I'm okay with that.
Desktop and cross-platform
- Zen for browsing the web. I like the split view and the way tabs are handled. It's not perfect though.
- Overcast for podcasts. It might not be fully embracing Podcasting 2.0 standards yet, but it wins as best podcast app in my books for ease of use.
- Bitwarden for passwords. It comes second to Apple's Passwords app, but it makes for a nice place to keep all the multiple-account sites organised.
- Obsidian for more structured note-keeping, including the content of this website.
- Sublime Text for text editing.
- Cyberduck
- Transmission
- Handbrake
- Subler
- Ente Auth
The unsurprising native app section
- Mail for (personal) email.
- Calendars for calendars.
- Reminders for (personal) todo.
- Notes for random notes.
Mobile
- My Data Manager is a great way to make sure you don't use all your data.
- When playing games in meatspace, I use Scorekeeper XL to keep track of scores.
- Terminus for SSH
- YouVersion's Bible app is one of the most popular, and a great choice.
Games
I don't play games on my phone much, but when I do…
